Artificial Intelligence is a critical factor in the transformation of public administration and the economy. Its utilization requires a clear institutional framework, coordination, and accountability.
The Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence has established the Special Secretariat for Artificial Intelligence and Data Governance, a specialized administrative structure tasked with the design, coordination, and implementation of national policy on AI and data governance.
The Special Secretariat:
- Supports the design and implementation of the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence and Data, in line with the EU framework
- Coordinates the relevant public bodies for the effective utilization of AI
- Serves as a hub for expertise and capacity building in Public Administration
- Contributes to the development of a national Artificial Intelligence ecosystem characterized by openness, sustainability, and digital sovereignty.
This new structure is part of the government’s overall strategy to balance innovation and regulation, with the aim of ensuring the lawful, safe, and socially beneficial use of Artificial Intelligence.
